RE: Ritualistic Competition 2024-2025
Brothers,
I wanted to reach out, especially to those about to embark on another Ritualistic Competition at Newton Lodge No. 142 on July 13th. My hat is off to the participants, and I wish each of you the best of luck! Whether you win or not, you will have gained valuable masonic knowledge, character, and insight into our ritual, one of the foundations of who we are. Again, I wish each of you the best of luck!
Last year, our Grand Lecturers dug this program out of the archives and revitalized it, which went quite well. A big thanks to M\W\ Brothers, Dale Morrow, Bob Talbott, and Michael Johnson for taking the lead on this project. Even though many brothers helped, aided, and assisted them behind the scenes, I will not embarrass myself by trying to list them all here for fear I would miss some. Please know I am most grateful for your service to the craft.
I might take this opportunity to remind everyone that this year's competition includes three regional competitions, followed by a final competition consisting of the finalists from the regional competitions.
The competitions are as follows: Region #1 July 13th, Newton, KS, Region #2 August 17th, Overland Park, KS, Region #3 November 2nd, Scott City, KS, and the final competition will be held on January 18, 2025, at Emporia Lodge No. 12.
If you are interested in registering for one of the two regional competitions left, please follow this link to read more about the competition. You can also register as an observer and just enjoy yourself.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Douglas L. Wilkinson
Grand Master, 2024-2025
