Brethren,

I hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits. I write to you today to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued dedication and commitment to our fraternity. 

Our lodge thrives on the strength of its members, and your unwavering support is what makes us a vibrant and impactful force within our community. I encourage you to continue reflecting on the principles of our fraternity such as faith, hope and charity. These principles are the cornerstone of our Masonic journey and guide us in our everyday interactions. 

I would like to recognize our Past Master WB Jason Foland and thank him for his guidance over the past year.  Additionally, I would like to provide a short update regarding the efforts of Smithton Lodge for 2024.

a.       Provided scholarships to seven students from Doniphan West High School.

b.       Hosted the annual Smithton Lodge Gun and Sportsman Show.

c.       Attended the District School of Instruction at Wathena Lodge #64.

d.       Represented Smithton #1 at the Kansas Masonic Grand Lodge Annual Communication in Manhattan, Kansas.

e.       Raised over $4,000 through the Kansas Masonic Foundation Gun Raffle that will support community programs in 2025.

f.        Supported Hancock Lodge #311, Fort Leavenworth,  Kansas in presenting degree work.

g.       Provided funding to our local Youth Baseball Programs.

Our next stated meeting will occur on 2 January 2025 at 6:00 p.m.  where we will chart the path ahead for 2025.  I respectfully encourage your involvement as it is crucial in maintaining the spirit of our fraternity and fostering a sense of camaraderie among us.

In closing, I want to thank you once again for your dedication and commitment to our Lodge. Together, we can continue to achieve great things and make  meaningful differences in our community.
