Brethren,

I hope everyone had a prosperous and fun filled summer and are ready for the upcoming festiveness. I have a few things to report and some comments for consideration.

At our upcoming Stated Meeting on 19 September, we will be Receiving Grand Master Wilkinson and honoring two of our Brethren in an Emblem Presentation. We will also be balloting on a Petition and voting on at least two new petitions. I look forward to a grand turnout so we may properly receive Grand Master Wilkinson and to honor our long tenured Brethren.

Unfortunately for the Lodge, our Treasurer, WB James Woods, has taken a position in Hawaii and therefore has resigned his position and I have asked the Grand Master to vacate the position so we may elect a new Treasurer. I hope a worthy Brother will step up so we can integrate them into the position of Treasurer as soon as possible. WB Woody will make himself available to help assist and train a new Treasurer. As a Military strong Lodge, we are used to Brothers PCS’ing, and we wish WB Woody all the best and thank him for his Service to the Lodge. Mahalo WB Woody!

On 13 August, Mount Olive Lodge #3 met for the first time in Boughton Hall. WB Scott Daniels and I attended as representatives of both Boughton Hall and Hancock Lodge.

As we move forward for the rest of 2024 I would like to focus on our Membership, our current members who are not taking an active role in the lodge. At the first Stated Meeting of October, I would like to appoint a few committees; Masonic Education and Finance. Please think about this and who we can help bring on to these committees.

I am looking forward to the rest of this year, working with the best Masonic Brethren in Kansas.

Fraternally,

Dean J. Long

Worshipful Master
